The Our Progress tab lets you see progress across the business or for any particular area. We have some additional enhancements coming to this over the next few weeks which will let you enter your financial year start date and quickly write progress report summaries for each month, quarter and year that you make your business plan happen on PlanHQ, so you get into a regular routine for reporting and reviewing your progress.

Staying on top of Contacts

Written by Tim Norton, discussed by No one

I remember a time when it was easy to stay in touch with everyone I wanted to, if I met someone interesting, I stayed in contact and kept naturally kept the communication going.

Staying on top of contacts

Can’t stay in touch with everyone

But nowadays this just isn’t possible, and above is just one stack of cards from the past 4 months that haven’t made it into my address book or path of follow-up communication, and a huge amount of others have. I stay in touch with a lot of people, more than ever before, and try and focus on the best relationships who I can make it happen with in the near future, but I also meet plenty of other cool people who I’d like to keep more in contact with, or even just have emailed after chatting so they know I appreciated our conversation and looked forward to catching up whenever we did next.

Getting key contacts in sync quickly

I get the key contacts I’ll be working with soon into my iphone quickly and this then syncs up with my various address books and web contact/CRM services via Plaxo and their cool syncing tool that sits in my Mac toolbar, which is my base. But, after a Saturday eating through my inbox, I still have a way to go, and getting past the great relationships I’ve got going and are doing things with right now seems like something that will just never happen. If I haven’t got back to you and we’ve caught up, I remember you, and look forward to catching up again sometime soon!

Unscheduled Down Time

Written by Amiria, discussed by No one

Apologies to anyone who was effected by the unscheduled downtime that occurred earlier today. Our site host experienced an unexpected outage, causing PlanHQ to be down between 2:30 and 3:00 PST, with a possibility of 90mins of poor performance prior to this. We are sorry for any inconvenience this caused, and if you have any questions, feel free to send us an email at support@planhq.com.

Managing Weekly Priorities as a Team

Written by Tim Norton, discussed by 1 person

We’re pretty big on managing our workload for the week ahead, and PlanHQ has been made to make this really easy to do it for yourself and together as a team. We’ve got heaps on, and every person is working on things towards achieving multiple goals across the business, so on Monday we get together and see whats on each others plate for the week ahead and re-prioritize until everyone has a workload thats achievable and that means we’ll have a killer week in terms of outcomes. Once you team is on this, its hard not to get completely hooked, things get done, goals get achieved, weeks feel very full.

Managing team workload

Amiria is brilliant at managing her weekly workload and because we get super ambitious and normally put too much on her plate, we get together on Monday around her dashboard and work together on mapping out whats actually going to get done, and then she’s away until Friday where her plate is complete and I just see email notifications on my iphone telling me when all the work gets completed, which is just great.

PlanHQ Win Emerging Business of the year at Gold Awards

Written by Tim Norton, discussed by 5 people

Gold Awards 2008We had a great night last night at the Wellington Gold Awards and are pretty happy to take out the emerging business of the year.

The big winner was KiwiBank, great to see New Zealands only major locally owned bank take out the supreme award, Kiwibank will be one of the pillars of the NZ economy as it continues to grow a base of local capital. Several other cool winners, including Flight of the Conchords who won creative Gold, who were unable to make it as they’re in LA writing their series 2 HBO show.

Was a great evening, great night for the team, and a couple of our customers and investors that came along to the event in Wellington New Zealand, along with the business community. With just 18 months in business with PlanHQ, we’re certainly still just emerging, and look forward to a year of success ahead as we continue to do big things around the world. Thanks to everyone who’s been part of the journey so far, we’re only just warming up!

If you want to manage multiple companies, just signup for a new plan using the same email address, or invite an existing PlanHQ user in to your plan using the same email adress and when you login you’ll get this. If you’re a business coach or investor and have purchased a bulk plan from PlanHQ, then you’ll have the add plan button so you can add new companies from inside PlanHQ.
